How Shoebox Daily works: listings, prices, releases, card shows and grading.
About the site
What is Shoebox Daily?
Shoebox Daily is a sports card discovery site. It shows live eBay listings of Baseball (MLB), Football (NFL), Basketball (NBA), Softball (AUSL), WNBA, Pokémon and Hockey (NHL) cards, player collections, new card releases, a card show calendar and links to hobby news from other publications.
About usWhich sports does Shoebox Daily cover?
Live listings are available for Baseball (MLB), Football (NFL), Basketball (NBA), Softball (AUSL), WNBA, Pokémon and Hockey (NHL) cards.
Cards by sportDoes Shoebox Daily sell cards?
No. Shoebox Daily doesn't sell cards or hold inventory. Listings link to eBay, and every purchase happens on eBay with the seller.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts or sign-ups on Shoebox Daily.
How does Shoebox Daily make money?
Links to eBay are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking one, eBay may pay Shoebox Daily a commission at no cost to you. Some pages carry ads labelled "Advertisement", and card shows can pay for a listing labelled "Sponsored". None of this changes which listings appear or their order.
Affiliate disclosureListings and prices
Where do the listings come from?
Every listing is a live query to eBay's API. Results are cached briefly to stay within eBay's limits and are never saved as site content.
How often are listings updated?
Every 15 minutes to a few hours, depending on the page. Auctions ending soon and newest listings refresh every 15 minutes.
Are the prices on Shoebox Daily card values?
No. Prices are current eBay asking prices and bids, not valuations or estimates of what a card is worth. The price on eBay is the one that applies.
What does "ending soon" mean?
Ending soon pages show eBay auctions that end within the next 24 hours.
Baseball cards ending soonCan I search for a specific player or card?
Yes. The search box finds player collections, releases and sports on Shoebox Daily; any other search opens eBay's results for exactly what you typed.
Releases and card shows
How are release dates checked?
A release date is listed only when the manufacturer's own site gives it, and each product page links to that source. Products without a confirmed date are left off or marked as not announced.
Release calendarHow are card show dates checked?
Each show's dates and venue are checked on the organizer's own site, and each show page says when. Upcoming shows are re-checked monthly. Confirm with the organizer before you travel.
